Those works' display over the past eleven months has allowed roughly 360,000 visitors to admire not only the artistic value of a part of Umbria's cultural Heritage but also to return with their thoughts to a part of Italy that is still buffering today after having been brought to its knees by the horrific force of the quake. Wounded Beauty has been more than a simple exhibition. It has been a year-long project that has allowed us to raise the sum of € 110,000 which is now being used to restore the masterpieces from the Norcia area. Several days ago the works were sent to the laboratories of the Centro Conservazione e Restauro della Venaria Reale in Turin, of the Istituto Centrale del Restauro in Rome, dell'Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence and of the Soprintendenza dell'Umbria.
